The MACAX UPS Management System comprises of an adapter which fetches information from the UPS through standard RS-232 Serial port. The information is processed according to the serial port protocol then transferred to Ethernet.

To view the UPS data, the administrator can access the information from any standard web browser like internet explorer5x etc.

MACAX 1628 SNMP Adapter
It is a part of AEMIT’s family of device management agents built around the SNMP protocol.
The MACAX 1628 is a single card solution that may be packaged as an external, independent box providing a 9-pin DSUB/ RJ11 connector for serial input from the UPS & a standard RJ45 connector interface for 10-base T network connectivity.
The adapter is also available as an internally mountable card that is fitted within the chases of the UPS body. This adapter can be installed within the UPS body, exposing the RJ45 ethernet connector for connecting the UPS to the LAN.

MACAX 1628 Web application
The web based application is an SNMP based network management application for monitoring and controlling Uninterrupted Power Supplies across a TCP/IP Network.
The application provides a simple, elegant and intuitive user interface that allows non-computer savvy administrators to manage the UPS easily.
To top it all, this application displays the real-time UPS status to allow the monitoring of remote UPS via internet or intranet.
