Inventory management application is a generalized application which demonstrates the communication of a merchant with a central server via various connectivity options.
 

This application has a wide scope & can be creatively used in many streams. Add-on components such as a smart-card reader, bar-code reader, MICR etc. can be used to frame various inventory management applications.

The available connectivity options are GSM, dial-up, Ethernet, serial port etc.

The main components of this application are:

• The Merchant Terminal: This is a bar-code based system that ensures proper accounting of transactions & updation of concurrent data to the central server database. The terminal also has provisions for attaching smart card & swipe card readers. Various connectivity options are also present ranging from Ethernet to Dial-up & GSM.

• Central Server: This web-based server interacts with the remote console & updates the database accordingly.
