The main components of this application are:

• The Transit Logger: This is a bar-code based system that ensures proper accounting, handling and subsequent dispatch of delivery consignment at the transit hubs.

• Delivery Console: This subsystem is a vehicle-mount/ hand-held unit used by the last mile delivery to take an electronic signature of the recipient upon the delivery of the package, and use communication mechanisms to provide the delivery acknowledgement the remote server.
